What Will You Learn?

  • At the end of the term, students should be able to:
  • Identify parts of a circle. (Radius, diameter, centre, circumference, sector)
  • Investigate the numerical relationship between the circumference of a circle and its radius and diameter.
  • Solve problems involving the calculation of circumference of a circle.
  • State the probability of a simple event.
  • Perform and report a variety of probability experiments.
  • Formulate all possible outcomes of an experiment. For example, tossing a fair coin, rolling a fair die.
  • Calculate any one of the measures of distance, time and rate of travel (average speed) given the measure of the other two.
  • Show knowledge of financial institution.
  • Identify types of financial institutions.
